Lab feedback report
The Lab feedback report shows the ratings and written feedback behind a single lab’s Happiness score. Use it to find out why a lab scores the way it does – which pages users rated, and what they said they would improve.
The report covers ratings collected by Feedback components in the lab. It is available for labs only; tracks don’t have it.
Opening the report
Section titled “Opening the report”The report opens from the Activity report:
- Go to Content Reporting in the left navigation and select Activity.
- Set the date range and play type you want to look at.
- In the table, click a lab’s Happiness score.
The report uses the same date range and play type as the Activity report you came from. A lab with no ratings in the selected period shows a score of 0, which isn’t clickable – there is no feedback to show. ← Back to Content Activity returns you to the Activity report with your filters kept.
What the report shows
Section titled “What the report shows”Aggregated score – the lab’s Happiness score for the period: the average of every individual rating, across all plays and all Feedback components in the lab. It matches the Happiness score on the Activity report.
All submissions – how many ratings of each score, from 1 to 5, the lab received in the period. Scores nobody gave still appear, with a count of 0.
Feedback – one row per rating, newest first:

The table is split into pages when there are many ratings.
How ratings are counted
Section titled “How ratings are counted”- Every rating counts once. A user who rates three Feedback components in one play adds three ratings. Ratings aren’t averaged per play first.
- One rating per component per play. When a user clicks Change feedback, or comes back to the page or reloads the lab during the same play, and rates the same component again, the new rating replaces the earlier one. A new play adds a new rating. Components without a Feedback ID are the exception: for those, rating again after a reload or return visit adds an additional rating.
- Ratings count in the period they were submitted, not when the play ended. This differs from the play-based metrics on the Activity report.
- Play type applies. With Normal plays selected, ratings from the lab’s authors are left out, the same as on the Activity report.
