Give team members access to a lab

Who can open a lab is decided by role. Owners and Content Creators have access to every lab in the team the moment it’s created – there is nothing to assign. Instructors are given access per lab.

Add an instructor to a lab

Only Owners can manage instructor access.

1. Open the lab and click Project settings in the top bar.
2. Go to the Instructors section.
3. Pick a team member from the Choose a team instructor dropdown.
4. Click Add.

The person appears in the lab’s instructor list. They can now view the lab and follow sessions, without being able to edit it.

To take the access away, click the bin icon next to the person’s name in the list.

Only team members with the Instructor role can be added here. To give someone the Instructor role, or to understand what each role can do, see Roles & permissions.

What instructors can do with a lab

An instructor with access to a lab can open it in read-only mode, play it, and follow sessions – everything they need to prepare for and run a session. Editing, publishing, and settings stay with Owners and Content Creators.
