Project Settings

Project settings is where you manage a lab as a whole, separately from editing its content. Open it from the Project settings action in the top bar. The settings are organized into a sidebar with the following sections.

SettingDescription
Lab name

The lab’s unique identifier. Changing it updates the lab’s URL, so existing links to the lab will need to be updated.

TagsCategorize this lab so learners can find it through search and filters on your team page.
Template

Mark this lab as a template so it can be used as a starting point when creating new labs. Templates appear in the Template picker in the Create Lab dialog. See Project Setup.

Connect the lab to a GitHub repository, or disconnect it, from the Version control section. This is documented in full under Integrating External Version Control.

The Danger zone groups disruptive and destructive actions for the lab:

  • Maintenance mode: a toggle, off by default. While it’s on, learners can’t start new sessions of this lab; existing sessions aren’t affected.
  • Delete lab: permanently removes the lab and all its branches. Active sessions are stopped and users are notified that the lab no longer exists. This can’t be undone.

Project settings covers the lab’s identity and lifecycle: its name and URL, the tags that make it discoverable, whether it can be used as a template, its version control connection, and destructive actions. For editing the lab’s content and configuration, see the rest of the UI Overview.
